Bible scholars estimate there are over 8,000 promises in the Bible. We could read a promise a day for almost 22 years! When I learned this statistic, I decided to record a promise a day. This assignment has been like a one-a-day vitamin for my soul.

ight a battle with a neuromuscular disease. My pain is invisible. I have good days and bad days. We each have daily battles and challenges we face, visible or invisible. Below are lists of promises I’ve been clinging to in recent days.

Thirty Promises for Strength
“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” (Psalm 29:11, NIV)
“Strengthen the feeble hands; steady the knees that give way.” (Isaiah 35:3, NIV)
“I have upheld (you) since your birth, and have carried since you were born. Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” (Isaiah 46:3-4, NIV)
